The high water content hydrogel gets to work immediately, cooling and absorbing heat from the burn to help minimize skin damage and calm the area. The gel is clear once applied, so you or a medic can actually see and assess the wound instead of guessing underneath a dressing. It's non-stick and won't adhere to the wound, which means less trauma on removal.
