Get Familiar with Your Equipment
Introduction
Before learning about each individual component, let's take a moment to become familiar with your Traumoto kit as a whole.
Every item in your kit has been carefully selected to help you prepare for medical emergencies. While each kit varies slightly depending on the model you purchased, the goal remains the same: to provide compact, high-quality trauma equipment that's easy to carry and readily accessible when needed.
Get Familiar with Your Equipment
Now is a great time to open your kit and lay out each component in front of you.
Compare the contents of your kit with the list provided in this course. Becoming familiar with each item before an emergency can help you locate and operate your equipment more efficiently when time matters.

Inspect Your Kit
Take a few moments to inspect your equipment.
Look for:
- Sealed, undamaged packaging
- Expiration dates (where applicable)
- Signs of moisture, punctures, or damage
- Missing components
If any item appears damaged, expired, or has been used, replace it before carrying your kit.
Store Your Kit Properly
To keep your equipment in good condition:
- Store your kit in a clean, dry location.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat or moisture.
- Periodically inspect your kit, especially if it is carried on a motorcycle or exposed to the elements.
- Replace any item that has been opened or used.
Ready to Begin
Now that you're familiar with your kit, it's time to learn about each component individually.
